Wow. So a friend of mine just posted this on FB and I felt the need to share this quote:
"They say love is blind. I disagree. Infatuation is blind. Love is all-seeing and accepting. Love is seeing the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. Love is accepting the bad habits and mannerisms, and working around them. Love is recognizing all the fears and insecurities, and knowing your role is to comfort. Love is working through all the challenges and painful times. Infatuation is fragile and will shatter when life is not perfect. Love is strong and it strengthens because it's real."
This rings startlingly true to me. It basically sums up my last relationship too. I loved her, she was infatuated with me.
It doesn't mean either of us was "wrong" but it does explain why things were never "just right".
I couldn't quite put my finger on explaining everything...here's hoping that if you needed to see this, that it helps bringing the clarity to you, that it did to me.
